Once a CP has reached the relevant turnover (£55m) they have six months to apply to an approval body. Once the application has been made and accepted by the approval body then that is a 24 month window in which to achieve approval. It is important to note that there has to be up to 12 months worth of performance metrics. Also within the 24 months there has to be a one month public notification before approval can be granted.
